The project
A domestic chamber organ played a few hours a week doesn't need the two-visit annual schedule a heavily-used church instrument does, so we combined tuning, a mechanical inspection of the tracker action, and minor touch adjustment into a single annual visit. The small stop count and controlled home environment (steady heating, no large seasonal swings) mean drift has stayed minimal three years in — the visit has so far been more inspection than active correction.
The owner has asked to be present for each visit specifically to learn more about voicing by ear, and the visit now runs slightly longer than strictly necessary to accommodate that.
